About Me
I collect mainly US, Japanese and European 1/32nd scale "vintage" slot cars from the early 1960's to the mid 1970's.  I don't collect Scalextric cars; there are too many variations and their early cars were not near the standard of the other manufacturers.

I also have a few 1/24th scale cars in my collection; a Cox Gurney Ford Galaxie, a Cox Chaparral 2E, a Monogram Lotus 38, some motorcycles and one or two others.

My prized possessions are a
'Pro' 1/24th car built by Bob Emott in 1969, and a 1/32nd scale scratch-built STP Paxton Turbine by an unknown builder built around 1967/68.  The Emott car has a Kean 24 single motor and a replica Kovacs-painted Dynamic Lola T160 body.  Bob Emott was one of the top US Pro's in the mid 1960's to early 1970's.

Cars I Have Built
IMC 1/32nd scale "Bud Anderson" Grand National stock cars, produced in 1965.  The Dodge Charger was never produced as a slot car; only as a static kit, but it came with a slot car interior and chassis mounting body posts.

My Favourite Slot Car Links
I also have some modern cars, including most of the superb Slot Classic resin kits, built by John Jude.

As well as some Fly, SCX,  a
collection of Ninco McLaren F1s and other current cars I couldn't resist buying, including a few limited editions such as the Pink Kar black Bugatti, the Scalextric Spain 20th Anniversary chrome BMW M1 mounted on a plinth (which was presented to dealers only) and some other cars as well.....
My Slot Classic Cars

Slot Classic are superb, highly detailed 1/32nd scale resin slot car kits, made in Spain by César Jiménez.  The models are well researched and come with photo-engraved metal detail parts, such as window frames and windscreen wipers, as well as various nickel-pated white metal components.
Ferrari 315/335S
The montage above is of the Ferrari 315/335S which raced in the 1957 Mille Miglia, driven by De Portago and Nelson. Unfortunately, Alfonso de Portago and co-driver Edmund G. Nelson would lose their lives in this event, near the finish line, when the front left tyre burst at a speed of more than 250 Km/h. In the accident nine spectators were also killed, which resulted in the event being indefinitely suspended.  Limited issue of 200 kits.
BMW 328
Between 1937 and 1941, every "gentlemen driver" who wanted to be competitive had no choice, but to run with one of the 462 BMW 128's built (not unlike the Porche 911 in the seventies).
Limited issue of 300 kits.
BMW 328 1956 Alfa Romeo Guilietta
Ignacio Sainz de Cámara said: "The Giuletta and its mechanicals captured in just five years the hearts of nearly 20.000 Romeos"
One can imagine the satisfaction that this little spyder gave to its lucky owners.
Limited issue of 300 kits.
1956 Alfa Romeo Guilietta
Alfa Romeo Monoposto Alfa Romeo Monoposto
If the Giulietta attracted all the looks, due to the its curves and its driver's exuberance, this monoposto racing version from the 1958 Mille Miglia is even more elegant.
Limited issue of 300 kits.
Rolls Royce 20/25 Keeping up with the Jones'
This rather unusual model is the Rolls Royce 20/25.  Only
150 kits were made.... and I have two of them!
Pegaso Spyder
Sponsored by Rafael Leónidas Trujillo, ex-president of the Dominican Republic, this car was driven by Joaquín Palacio in the 1954 Panamericana road race.  The route consisted of 3.077 Km and crossed Mexico from the north to the south; from Tuxtla Gutiérrez to Ciudad Juarez.
Limited issue of 300 kits.

Pegaso Z-102
Pegaso Z-102
Two of these cars were entered by ENASA in the 1952 Grand Prix Sport de Monaco, but the drivers hadn't brought their crash helmets, because they hadn't thought it was obligatory!  They bought cork shalakoffs, which they painted red and used these as helmets to satisfy the officials.  Due to the intense  heat inside the cars, the paint ran down their faces, causing considerable consternation among the team members watching from the pits...
Limited issue of  400 kits.
Pegaso Z-102 B/3.2 Touring Pegaso Z-102 B/3.2 Touring
Built in 1954, this car was driven by Alex Soler Roig and won the 1959 hill climb at Monserrat, the last victory for Pegaso in competition.
Limited issue of 300 kits.
Top Slot Cars

Top Slot is another Spanish manufacturer of fine 1/32nd scale resin kits.  They concentrate mainly on current sports racing cars, but also produce some excellent classics, such as this Cadillac "Le Monstre", which raced at Le Mans in 1950.
